Senior IT Engineer (Infrastructure & Operations) | Banking
Our client is looking for a high calibre focused IT engineer supporting regional operations, platforms, and mission€‘critical systems as a Senior IT Engineer (Infra and Operations)
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the IT lead in managing day-to-day technology operations covering end€‘user services and core infrastructure.
- Drive coordination of IT activities, including status reporting, operational metrics, audits, and change communications.
- Act as a focal point for process consistency, governance tracking, and compliance with internal standards and regulatory needs.
- Operate and maintain server, storage, virtualization, network, and data centre environments.
- Ensure system availability through proactive monitoring, incident handling, and capacity management.
- Manage backup, recovery, and resilience practices, including regular testing.
- Support business€‘critical platforms, including payment and transaction-related systems.
- Provide regional infrastructure and application support across APAC, working closely with headquarters and service partners.
- Participate in infrastructure refreshes, migrations, and improvement initiatives.
Key Requirements
- Degree in IT or related field with 10+ years in infrastructure and operations roles.
- Strong hands€‘on experience across servers, virtualization, storage, networking, and Microsoft platforms (M365/Azure).
- Knowledge in to payment systems (e.g. RTGS, SWIFT, ICLNet or similar) and their infrastructure.
- Familiarity with regulated environments and mission€‘critical systems is advantageous.
- Organized, proactive, and capable of working independently with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
