IT Infrastructure Audit Manager
Position Summary
The Infrastructure Audit Manager will be responsible for auditing the organization's existing IT infrastructure-including servers, networks, storage, backup systems, databases, middleware, and IT operations-to ensure efficiency, stability, and alignment with company policies and standards. This 3-month engagement aims to assess the current environment, identify improvement areas, and provide clear recommendations for modernization and optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a comprehensive audit of IT infrastructure components, including servers, networks, storage, backups, databases, middleware, and IT operations.
- Review system architecture, configurations, and operational processes for compliance with company policies and performance standards.
- Evaluate infrastructure capacity, availability, and scalability to support business requirements.
- Assess middleware and application integration layers for reliability and maintainability.
- Examine storage and backup practices to verify data integrity, retention, and recovery capabilities.
- Identify infrastructure risks, inefficiencies, or bottlenecks, and propose practical remediation actions.
- Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to gather documentation and validate audit findings.
- Produce an Infrastructure Audit Report detailing audit scope, findings, and prioritized recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, operations, or audit.
- Proven expertise in:
- Servers: Windows, Linux, and virtualized environments.
- Networks: Core network infrastructure, switching, routing, and WAN connectivity.
- Storage & Backup: SAN/NAS architecture, backup strategy, and disaster recovery setup.
- Databases: SQL Server, Oracle, or equivalent platforms.
- Middleware: WebLogic, WebSphere, IIS, Apache, or similar.
- Familiarity with infrastructure audit methodologies and IT operational processes (e.g., ITIL).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Ability to deliver clear, actionable recommendations within defined timeframes.
Deliverables
- Infrastructure Audit Report with assessment findings and improvement recommendations.
- Gap analysis against internal policies and best practices.
- Executive summary highlighting key observations and suggested next steps.
Contract Details
- Duration: 3 months.
- Work arrangement: On-site
