DevOps Engineer | Perm Role
Our entertainment company client is looking for a high calibre to join their DevOps team.
Role Overview
As a DevOps Engineer, you will own and manage cloud infrastructure, continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD), and machine learning (ML) training pipelines. You will work alongside mission-driven, highly talented teams solving challenges across ML, cloud, platform software, operating systems, and games. Your focus will be on building scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure and tools that empower developers and support rapid growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure aligned with AWS, GCP, and serverless architectures.
- Own CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows for development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- Build reusable tools and automate critical workflows to maximize developer productivity.
- Expand and optimize production and development infrastructure to meet scaling needs.
- Support diverse engineering functions including ML, SDKs, embedded systems, and cloud-based game development.
- Understand and resolve developers' pain points using a product development mindset.
- Ensure infrastructure reliability, repeatability, and operational excellence.
- Stay current with emerging DevOps and cloud technologies and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate flexibly across global teams and time zones.
Key Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps and cloud infrastructure roles.
- 2+ years working with serverless architectures and building fault-tolerant, scalable systems.
- At least 1 year in software product companies or startups.
- Proficient with AWS, GCP, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Experienced with relational and NoSQL databases, message brokers, container orchestration, REST APIs, HTTP, and networking fundamentals.
- Strong scripting abilities with command-line tools and version control (Git).
- Proficient English communication skills.
- Ability to work flexibly across global teams in different time zones.
