Linux Specialist AVP/VP (Banking)
Our global investment bank client is looking for an experienced Unix/Linux Specialist to join our APAC Server, Database, and Storage Team.This role requires expertise in Unix/Linux systems, particularly Red Hat, focusing on the design, implementation, and maintenance of our Unix environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patch management, automation using Ansible Tower, and Red Hat Satellite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage Unix/Linux environments to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.
- Oversee patch management to keep systems updated with the latest security features.
- Implement automation solutions with Ansible Tower for efficient configuration and deployment.
- Utilize Red Hat Satellite for provisioning, patch management, and lifecycle management.
- Manage Red Hat Identity Management (IdM) for centralized authentication and access control.
- Plan and execute Red Hat upgrades and end-of-life (EOL) management strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with organizational goals.
- Troubleshoot system issues and provide effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices for Unix/Linux systems.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; Master's preferred.
- 5 to 10 years of experience with Unix/Linux systems, especially Red Hat.
- Strong knowledge of Ansible Tower, Red Hat Satellite, and IdM.
- Excellent problem-solving
- Excellent communication skills in Cantonese, Mandarin and English.
