Production Support Engineer - ALGO trading
Job responsibility:
- Be the first contact point for Front-office covering traders in handling queries of both technical and strategy-specific nature
- You will identify and drive opportunities to improve automation for the company; scope and create automation for deployment, management and visibility of our services.
- Monitoring the platform and taking proactive action to provide a very high level of support service
- Managing and tracking daily production problems to ensure that problems are resolved in a timely manner
- Working alongside existing global and regional team members in various locations on a follow-the-sun basis.
Job requirements:
- Practical experience in UNIX and Scripting
- Very strong communication skills with fluency in English
- Able to multi-task and quickly understand new and complex systems
- Enjoy new technological challenges and solving complicated problems
- Have 2-3 years of relevant work experience in application support in the financial industry
- Knowledge of Financial/Equities markets preferable
Advantageous Additional Skills:
- Understanding on Algorithmic Trading, workflow, FIX protocol and market data systems
- Knowledge of Asian equity markets
- Experience of working in a front-office environment
- Experience with scripting languages - e.g. Shell, Python, Perl and SQL
